Rhamnose, also known as 6-deoxy-Lmannose, is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C6H12O5. It is a substance widely present in plant polysaccharides, glycosides, plant gums, and bacterial polysaccharides. Its sweetness is 33% of sucrose, which can be used to determine the permeability of intestinal tract, as a sweetener, and also can be used to produce essence and spices. It is edible.<\/div>\n
