Oxyresveratrol (trans-Oxyresveratrol) is a potent naturally occurring antioxidant and free radical scavenger (IC50<\/sub><\/b> of 28.9 \u00b5M against DPPH free radicals). It is potent and noncompetitive tyrosinase<\/b>\u00a0inhibitor with an\u00a0IC50<\/sub><\/b> value of 1.2 \u00b5M for mushroom\u00a0tyrosinase. Natural plant extraction method<\/h6>\n
Extract and isolate crude resveratrol from grapes, wine, and peanuts, and then purify them. The crude extraction techniques mainly include organic solvent extraction, alkali extraction, and enzyme extraction. New methods such as microwave assisted extraction, CO2 supercritical extraction, and ultrasonic assisted extraction are also applied. The main purpose of purification is to separate the cis and trans isomers of resveratrol and resveratrol oxime from the crude extract of resveratrol, in order to obtain trans resveratrol.
