Brief Introduction of Sea Buckthorn Extract

Sea buckthorn is a deciduous shrub belonging to the family Elaeagnaceae and genus Hippophae. It is distributed in North China, Northwest, Southwest and other regions. Sea buckthorn is a medicinal and edible plant. The roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits of seabuckthorn, especially its fruit, contain rich nutrients and bioactive substances. It can be widely used in many fields of the national economy such as food, medicine, light industry, aerospace, agriculture, animal husbandry, and fish industry.

Sea buckthorn contains a variety of compounds, including flavonoids, carotenoids, tocopherols, tannins, etc.  Sea-buckthorn flavonoids is one of the main ingredients among them above.
